Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College have released a statement mourning the loss of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot during a speaking event at Utah Valley University on September 9, 2025.

Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was just 31 years old when he passed away.

In their statement, Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College described Kirk as a “true American hero” who had dedicated his life to spreading the principles of liberty and love for God and country. They praised his ability to articulate truth and inspire a love of freedom in America.

Kirk was scheduled to be the guest speaker at the Truth and Liberty Conference this week. In honor of his memory, the conference will proceed as planned, with a special tribute and panel discussion scheduled for Thursday, September 11.

The statement concluded with a call to pray for Kirk’s wife, children, and the entire Turning Point USA team, asking for comfort and strength during this difficult time.

The ministry expressed hope that Kirk’s life and sacrifice would serve as a “turning point” for the nation, unifying Americans around the principles of the Declaration of Independence.
