Toluwani Odukoya, Daughter of Late Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, Shares Heartfelt Reflections on Her Broken Marriage
In a candid and inspiring post, Toluwani Odukoya, daughter of the late Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, has opened up about her journey through a broken marriage, sharing valuable lessons and insights gained along the way.
Toluwani spoke about the pain, disappointment, and eventual healing that followed the end of her marriage. She revealed that the experience taught her the importance of self-discovery, emotional maturity, and trusting in God’s sovereignty, even in the midst of heartbreak.
Rather than dwelling on shame, Toluwani emphasized the themes of redemption and growth, encouraging others who may be navigating similar challenges not to lose faith. She shared that her relationship with God deepened significantly through the trial, and that He can bring beauty out of brokenness.
In further reflections on her dissolved marriage, Toluwani noted that sometimes, separation occurs not because the individuals involved are flawed, but because God may not have ordained the union. “My ex-husband is a great man… but if God doesn’t ordain you guys to be together and you force-fit yourselves, the likelihood of staying together is very low,” she said.
Despite the heartbreak, Toluwani shared that she has found solace in her pastoral calling, embracing it even when she felt unworthy. “When the call came, I told God, ‘You know all the baggage I’m trying to navigate. But if you call me to serve, then maybe you’ve put something in me.’ I just decided to keep my eyes on Jesus,” she said.
Toluwani also expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of her family, particularly her siblings and late father, who stood by her during those challenging years.
