US President Donald Trump expressed doubts about his chances of getting into heaven during a press conference aboard Air Force One on October 12.
“I’m not sure I’m going to be able to make heaven, but I’ve made life a lot better for a lot of people,” he said.
Trump was referencing his previous comments about trying to broker a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, which he claimed could help him get into heaven.
In August, he said, “If I can save 7,000 people a week from being killed, I think that’s pretty I want to try to get to heaven if possible.”
President Trump also criticized the 2020 election, saying it was “rigged” and that he could have prevented Russian President Vladimir Putin from invading Ukraine if he had won.
Trump claimed that the past administration made it harder to settle the Israeli issue.
Trump’s campaign had sent out fundraising emails with the subject line “I want to try and get to Heaven,” asking supporters to donate $15.
When asked about his desire to get to heaven, Trump joked, “I don’t think there’s anything going to get me in heaven.” He added that he might already be in heaven while flying on Air Force One .
