President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on faith leaders in Nigeria to join hands with him to build a strong economy that benefits all citizens.
Speaking at the opening of the Second Plenary Meeting of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) in Ikot Ekpene, Tinubu emphasized the vital role of faith-based organizations in bridging social divides and promoting moral values.
Tinubu praised the Catholic Church and other denominations for their contributions to education, health, and social welfare, particularly in remote and underserved communities.
The President stressed that lasting peace requires collaboration between the government, spiritual leaders, and local communities.
Tinubu noted that his administration is implementing economic, social, and security reforms to stabilize the economy and promote long-term prosperity.
He urged faith leaders to promote harmony, denounce violence, and foster reconciliation in conflict-affected communities.
