Legendary Italian Fashion designer and Billionaire brand owner, Giorgio Armani, has died at the age of 91.
According to a statement released by the Armani Group, he worked until his final days, dedicating himself to the company and future projects.
Armani was celebrated for reimagining men’s and women’s suits for a modern audience and elevating red carpet fashion. His brand expanded beyond fashion, venturing into beauty, fragrance, music, sport, and luxury hotels, generating over £2 billion annually.
Donatella Versace paid tribute to Armani on Instagram, calling him a “giant” who “made history and will be remembered forever.” A funeral chamber will be set up from September 6-7 at Via Bergognone 59 in Milan, and the funeral will be held privately.
Armani’s legacy extends beyond his fashion empire, inspiring future generations of designers and entrepreneurs. At the time of his death, his net worth was estimated to be around $12.1 billion.
