Thousands were left disappointed when Joshua Mhlakela’s rapture prediction for September 23-24, 2025, failed to materialize.

Brother Joshua, a South African pastor, claimed to have received a divine vision from Jesus Christ, stating, “The rapture is upon us, whether you are ready or not.”

Interestingly, Prophet Uebert Angel, founder of Spirit Embassy church, had previously cautioned against setting specific dates for the rapture.

Mhlakela’s prediction is based on a vision he had of Jesus Christ sitting on a throne, saying, “I am coming soon”

He believes Jesus will return on September 23-24, 2025, to take believers to heaven

The prediction sparked a trend on TikTok, #RaptureTok, with over 321,000 posts mentioning the Rapture

Some people took drastic measures, such as quitting their jobs, in preparation for the predicted event
